Day four:

Something different today as I was able to get out and about with the photographer.

We drove around and photographed a few bits for different stories, and also did a photo essay on a local business.
It’s been cool to be able to see all the different sides to the newspaper industry, not only writing articles but seeing how they’re sourced, photographed and put together.

I was also lucky enough to speak to a young man who is embarking on a solo triathlon in just over two weeks, from Byron Bay to Yeppoon.
He’s started a non profit organisation and all money raised from his triathlon will go to building an organic sunflower seed factory in Tanzania, which will help impoverished single mothers to earn money and also create a life for the next generation.

The story will be in the Sunshine Coast Daily this weekend if you’d like to have a read.

Four days down, one day to go.
Bring on day five.
