I’ve been to a few government sessions over time and always found them rather boring. Fearing that I might not stay awake, I armed myself with a large coffee and lots of doodle paper.

For once, I was proven wrong. Water and climate change (issues near and dear to my environmental heart were on the table). I followed those discussions with great interest.

There were of course many other issues on the table and feeling I couldn’t keep up with all of them, I opted for some short hand practice half way through. I’m pleased to say that while I was not able to get enough in my shorthand notes on those particular topics, I was able to read back enough to understand they were talking about the bus way expansions and urban renewal projects.

Another few weeks and I might have this shorthand thing figured out.
