It was so sad watching it all come to an end, having to say goodbye to the community, to the editor and to the journalists. It was an incredible experience. I had my work published, I was able to take photo’s, I planned my days out to finish my stories. In the final few days the excitement faded, only because I knew it was all coming to an end. I am lucky though, I got a job to write a story once a month for a Logan Newsletter and Brenton said he would help me find a job as their papers are going through some changes. I wish I could go back, it was so devastating to pack up my desk and go home. This work experience changed all of my perceptions. I always thought I wanted to work in television as a field reporter but now…

I like the structure of the paper, I like actually writing the story. In television you film your story, you film the quotes and then you write what you need to say. I just think the paper has more beauty to it. More structure. I know what I want to do now, I know what jobs I really want-of course I would be happy with anything at this stage.
